OTP verification at checkout via SMS, WhatsApp, or email
Blocks checkout until a user verify; already verified members skip automatically
Dashboard setup for Twilio, WhatsApp, and email sender
Verification log with filters and fraud flagging
FME OTP Checkout Verification adds a one-time-passcode step to the checkout, confirming that the phone or email a shopper enters belongs to them before they pay. Already verified members skip verification, and guests who already verified are not asked again.
The widget sits on the checkout page before the regular steps, and Continue stays blocked until the guest verifies. Store owners pick one channel: SMS via Twilio Verify, WhatsApp via the Meta Cloud API with approved templates (no extra messaging cost), or email through native email system, with no SMTP or API key needed. An international country picker with E.164 formatting supports customers worldwide.
Guests get a 6-digit code with resend and a cooldown. Codes expire after 10 minutes, sends are limited to 3 per 10 minutes per checkout, and codes are stored hashed, not in plaintext. Validation happens server-side, so unverified orders cannot complete even if the widget is bypassed.
Setup is dashboard-based: connect Twilio, Meta WhatsApp, and an email sender, with credentials encrypted. A log tracks status per order, filterable by verified or flagged.
